We went here to casually celebrate a friend’s birthday dinner. Everything from the atmosphere to the food was exceptional. Great selection of apps and local beers. Most of us ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala for our main course. Although I’ve only had Indian food a few times now, this was my favorite dish I’ve had in the Charleston area. The service was friendly and attentive.
To use the Oxford dictionary’s term of 2023. This restaurant has the rizz.
The food is top tear and doesn’t matter what you get it be amazing. The naan is fluffy and decadent with some of the best mouth feel I’ve ever had.
If you aren’t sure what to eat the staff is happy to help you understand the menu and make choices of what is best to get.
11/10 would recommend for people who love Indian food or want to try it for the first time. You’ll not be disappointed.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and I haven't had Indian cuisine this good in quite a while.
One thing that stood out to me was the generous portion sizes. It's important to keep that in mind when ordering, as you might want to consider sharing or being prepared for leftovers. The restaurant certainly knows how to satisfy their customers with hearty servings.
Among all the dishes I tried, my favorite was the Chilly Chicken. It was a flavor-packed delight that left me wanting more. The chicken was perfectly cooked and coated in a mouthwatering blend of spices and sauces. I highly recommend trying it when you visit this restaurant; it's a must-try dish that won't disappoint.
Overall, my experience at this Indian restaurant was fantastic. The food was superb, the portions were generous, and the Chilly Chicken stole the show. If you're craving some top-notch Indian cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit.
This restaurant is very deceptive from the outside, but once through the door, it was one of the better dining experiences I've had in Charleston.
It's a bit pricey, but the food was spot on!
Not only will I be going back, I'll be recommending it to everyone.
Restaurant is small and loud but good Chicken Tikka Masala! Seattle was the best so far, nice and clean and service was great! Just could use a bigger space
Wow! I am blown away! I feel like I’ve taken a trip thousands of miles away to have the best food I’ve ever eaten. We had 6 people in our party and all 6 of us picked different items. We had chicken, lamb, shrimp and even their chick pea Chaat and it was all AMAZING! Their naan is INSANELY WONDERFUL! We tried: coconut, garlic, honey ginger, garlic chili and they were all absolutely to die for. This is our new favorite restaurant and we cannot wait to come back! Definitely give it a try and we asked our wonderful server for suggestions and we were so well taken care of!
Spice Palette has been billed as the only authentic Indian restaurant in the Charleston area. The food did not disappoint. The menu is extensive and features both North and South Indian food, which is unusual and welcome. The atmosphere is fairly loud and crowded, but that's just because it's so popular. It is family friendly and service is expedient and welcoming.
The samosa chaat was very tasty. The lamb samosas were ok, but a bit too doughy with not enough meat and quite spicy. Spinach was delicious, as was the special lamb in a coconut, black pepper sauce. That was the star of the evening.
Parking is plentiful. Get there early if you are hungry because they don't take reservations for parties under 6 and even on a random Wednesday evening there was a 15-20 minute wait.
Always amazing. We love spice palette so much! Even our daughter (who is the world’s pickiest eater) loves it! The staff is so kind. CJ remembers our order even though it is sometimes months between visits. Best Indian food I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your money anywhere else!
